Frequently asked questions about the clinics and the trip

How is a clinic chosen for my case?

We look at your diagnosis and your MRI and select clinics from the directory that use a suitable method. Your materials are forwarded to the clinic; the treatment decision is made by its doctor after an examination.

Where are the clinics and how do I get there?

The cities and addresses are in the cards above — Munich, Freiburg and others. We will advise the route from the airport and arrange a transfer.

How long does the trip take?

Usually two to three days: examination and ultrasound, the procedure, a follow-up examination. Up to five days in complex cases. The exact schedule is set by the clinic; the invitation for a medical visa is issued for ten days to leave a margin.

Who issues the invoice, and what about insurance?

The invoice is issued by the clinic, with ICD-10 and EBM/GOÄ codes for submission to an insurer. German private insurers often reimburse in full or in part; the statutory scheme (GKV) does not cover regenerative procedures, which count as IGeL services. For foreign insurers the clinic answers on request.

What happens after I return home?

We stay in touch and forward your follow-up scans and reports to the clinic. The assessment of the result and any further recommendations come from the clinic's doctor.
