What is ankle osteoarthritis?

Crurarthrosis is a degenerative disease of the ankle joint with destruction of the cartilage coating. Unlike knee and hip osteoarthritis, it is post-traumatic in 80% of cases — it develops after ankle fractures and ligament injuries.
